The Rye Professional Firefighters St. Patrick’s Ball at Harrison Meadows Country Club in Harrison, New York is one of those events that brings a room to life the moment you walk in.

It’s an annual celebration we’ve had the pleasure of being part of several times over the years, and each time it delivers the same thing: a packed room, a great crowd, and an energy that makes capturing moments effortless.

A Lively Event That Delivers Every Time

Some events require a bit more direction to create engaging moments. This is not one of them.

The St. Patrick’s Ball is naturally high energy, with guests fully present, enjoying themselves, and interacting throughout the evening. That kind of atmosphere makes it easy to document authentic moments as they unfold.

From the start of the night to the final stretch, there’s always something happening and always someone ready to jump into a photo.

Roaming Photo Booth Coverage

For this event, we used our roaming Photo Booth experience, allowing us to move throughout the venue and meet guests where they were.

Instead of waiting in line for a traditional setup, guests were able to:

• Take photos organically throughout the event
• Instantly receive their images via text
• Jump into photos with friends without interrupting the flow of the night

This approach works especially well for events like this, where the energy is spread across the room and constantly evolving.

Behind the Scenes and Real Moments

This particular set of coverage included both guest-facing moments and behind-the-scenes footage, giving a fuller picture of the event as it unfolded.

The best part about events like this is that nothing feels forced. When the crowd is genuinely enjoying themselves, the photos reflect that.

Presentation Matters

Throughout the night, we received a number of compliments on both the lighting setup and overall presentation.

Strong lighting is one of the most overlooked aspects of event photography, but it makes all the difference in delivering clean, flattering, and consistent images, especially in fast-moving environments.

And of course, the sequin blazer made its appearance as well.
