A Sort of Homecoming in Greenwich, CT

One of our latest events was for a sort of Homecoming in Greenwich, CT.

I’d done a holiday party for this local client several years ago and it was such a great event that I looked forward to the next time we’d be back for another party. 

That opportunity came for a recent event.

We provided a Photo Booth with our large shiny silver sequin backdrop for this outdoor event and I really wanted to put my best foot forward, so I used supplemental lighting to give more of a portraiture style and add more dimension to the look of the photos. 

The artwork for the Photo Booth prints had three poses that guests were also able to text themselves.

I like to underpromise and over deliver when I can so I had a special surprise for my client. I quickly set up an extra DSLR camera I had with me and did some roaming event photography!  This allowed me to walked around when the Photo Booth wasn’t being used and took photos of the mingling guests who could immediately text branded photos of themselves that I had just taken.

There was one guest who received a notification IMMEDIATELY after taking a new photo in which he appeared. The text delivery was lightning fast and the technology amazed the guests.

I can’t overstate how happy it makes me when I receive comments about how nice my photos come out. They say things like “you have such a great camera!” I smile and say ‘thank you’ but between us, it’s more a matter of years of experience of knowing how to set the camera properly, but that’ll be our little secret.

Food and decor was handled by Reed Collyer of Collyer Events of Redding, CT. 

The food looked and tasted amazing. There were sliders, sushi, a variety of mini tacos, dumplings, mixed berries and a number of desserts. There was probably even a lot more than that and I’m sure it was all delicious. I'd had done several events with Reed so it was serendipitous running into her at this event!

Music was provided by DJ Nardz (Steve Nardini).

When I was setting up the Photo Booth, I KNEW this was going to be a great night of music. I felt it in my bones! He was playing great mixes of great songs that varied greatly and the music just made you happy. 

I hear DJs all the time at the events that I do so when a DJ strikes me, it really stands out.
