A 40th Birthday AI Roaming Booth at Juliano’s, New Rochelle, NY

Last Friday night, we had the pleasure of providing a roaming photo booth experience for a 40th birthday celebration at Juliano’s in New Rochelle, New York.

The event was lively, energetic, and filled with personality, making it the perfect setting for a roaming photo booth that combined both traditional photography and custom AI-generated images designed specifically for the night.

A Roaming Photo Booth That Moves with the Party

Instead of a stationary setup, we used a roaming photo booth, allowing us to move throughout the space and capture guests wherever the energy was happening. This approach works especially well for milestone birthdays, where guests are spread out, conversations are flowing, and moments happen organically.

Throughout the evening, guests had the option to take regular photos as well as AI-enhanced images, giving them a mix of classic and creative keepsakes from the celebration.

Custom AI Images Designed for the Event

One of the highlights of the night was the custom AI imagery created specifically for this party’s unique theme. The entertainment included a DJ and a Duranguense band, a style of Mexican music known for its bold fashion and strong visual identity.

To match the atmosphere, we created a custom AI prompt during the event that transformed guests into looks inspired by what you might see at a Duranguense show. This ensured the images felt cohesive with the music, the attire, and the overall vibe of the celebration.

The response from guests was immediate. They were excited to see images that felt personalized, intentional, and connected to the night rather than generic overlays or templates.

Capturing Moments Big and Small

As with many private celebrations, guests arrived and quickly settled into their seats, which can sometimes be a challenge for roaming photography. Even so, the flexibility of the roaming setup allowed us to capture both candid moments and more intentional portraits throughout the night.

One particularly memorable moment involved two fathers lifting their toddlers and asking if we could photograph just the kids. With a short countdown and little ones involved, it is not always easy to capture a perfect frame, but AI helped deliver a final image that everyone loved.

Ending the Night with Meaningful Group Photos

As the evening began to wind down, we asked if there were any final photos the host wanted before we wrapped up. This led to a series of group portraits with the birthday celebrant and guests from each table.

Rather than photographing these at the tables, we brought each group to the celebrant’s custom-made backdrop wall with a neon sign, creating polished, intentional images that felt like a true centerpiece of the event and a fitting way to close out the celebration.
